There were times when it seemed to me
That there were some in my life
Who did not return the love and grace
That I had shown to them,
Some who maybe took more than they gave.

But when honesty drives me to my knees
And humility takes its rightful place
Inside my heart of hearts,
Then I would have to confess
That the worst day I have ever had,
Was better than I deserved.
